Good to know, Anna, that they need to be separated. Will do this once I've pinpointed where to transfer them.
I did use left-over coffee grounds last year -- trying to be "chemical-free".Flowers didn't bloom as nicely as the previous year. Will be putting them around the hosta instead.

ground coffee is easier to come by. You might be able to use the left over grounds from the office coffee machine, too...be GREEN!
Don't forget, hostas also need to be "separated" or their root system will choke themselves. You can make a nice border with these babies.
